Transportation Drivers

Nearly every man we serve does not have a car, or money to get around town. One of the ways we help them overcome this barrier is by driving them to job interviews, back and forth to work, to doctor’s appointments, to the grocery store, to recovery meetings, and even to church on Sunday.

Serving a 2-4 hour shift (from 6 am – midnight) driving our men on a regular basis to their appointments is one of our greatest needs! Vehicles are provided by the Shelter and you will be trained by Vicki Marshall, our Transportation Coordinator, prior to driving the men. We are also recruiting volunteer drivers (2X/month) to drive men to various addiction and treatment programs throughout the state (Sylacauga, Andalusia, & Mobile). Just think, you could have a large impact in changing the direction of an addicted man who desires a fresh start in their life.
