Firehouse Ministries is Birmingham’s only agency that serves three full, hot and nutritious daily meals and snack to the homeless. Lunch is open to the entire homeless community, and it is served at 11:30 am by faithful and committed volunteers. In recent years, we have averaged 125 meals served for lunch every day. We partner with area food banks to provide balanced and healthy meals, although the bulk of our donations of food come from area churches, businesses and individuals who take up collections to keep our pantry stocked. Dinner is served to the men who check in to stay the night with us at the Emergency Shelter. This meal is is served by volunteers at 7:30 pm every night of the year.
